Question by Amir Abbas: What are major cinematic elements used by director Ridley Scott in his movies?
I’m writing a paper for my film final exam and I thought I would ask which cinematic elements Ridley Scott uses a lot and emphasizes in his movies to help convey his message / emotions he is trying to make the viewer feel?
i don’t mean what is his message and what does he try to do in his movies. I’m talking about cinematic elements he is known for using such as, lighting, mise-en-scene, petmeds coupon codes camera movements, camera shots, camera angles, editing… those kind of elements.

With this director it’s very hard to say, because if you notice, Ridley’s films don’t really have a strong message. His films are more driven by the protagonist and his goals, e.g. Gladiator, Blade Runner.. Even his latest, Robbin Hood. I guess you could say that his messages are to strive for your goal no matter what obstacles you face, and that you can overcome anything.. e.g. Gladiator (in a way.)
If it was Stephen Spielberg, it would be easier to break down. His movies are usually about politics and family.
